Esther Hovers
Esther Hovers est une artiste néerlandaise qui est diplômée en photographie (BA) à l'Académie des Arts de la Hague, en 2015. Depuis son diplôme, son travail a été montré à de nombreuses expositions internationales, incluant C/O Berlin Foundation, Alan Gallery in Istanbul, Festival Circulation(s) à Paris, Unseen, Amsterdam et the National Gallery à Prague - ainsi que dans des publications telles que the Washington Post, M, Magazine du Monde et the British Journal of Photography.
Dans sa pratique, Esther Hovers explore comment le pouvoir, la politique et le contrôle sont exercés à travers la planification urbaine et l'utilisation de l'espace public. Elle questionne à travers son travail, dans quel mesure on pourrait limiter l'influence du paysage urbain sur ses utilisateurs. Esther Hovers vit et travaille actuellement à La Hague, Pays-Bas.
Esther Hovers is a Dutch artist who graduated with a BA in photography from the Royal Academy of Art, the Hague, in 2015. Since graduating her work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions, including C/O Berlin Foundation, Alan Gallery in Istanbul, Festival Circulation(s) in Paris, Unseen, Amsterdam and the National Gallery in Prague - as well as in publications such as the Washington Post, M, Magazine du Monde and the British Journal of Photography.
In her practice Esther Hovers investigates how power, politics and control are exercised through urban planning and the use of public space. She questions how one could curb the influence of the urban landscape on its users.
Esther Hovers is currently living and working in The Hague, Holland.
